Advancing Climate-smart agriculture at the global level

In March, a number of high-profile activities have pushed climate-smart agriculture high on the global agenda. At the Global Forum on Innovations in Agriculture in Abu Dhabi, CGIAR and key agencies drove forward progress on the Global Alliance on Climate-Smart Agriculture and the vision of CGIAR participation in the Alliance was explained by Frank Rijsberman (CEO of CGIAR Consortium) and Bruce Campbell (Director of CCAFS) in a recent Opinion Editorial.

The first meeting of the Knowledge Action Group of the Global Alliance on Climate-Smart Agriculture brought together 100 participants from diverse stakeholder groups to an International Workshop in Montpellier, France. The workshop aimed to organize the work on knowledge priorities for CSA and build partnerships to make these priorities possible. CCAFS plays a critical role as co-leader of the Action Group.
