Training Workshop: Wetland Vulnerability Analysis using GIS and Earth Observation data

ESIPPS is inviting participants to be part of the training course about Wetland Vulnerability Analysis using GIS and Earth Observation data.

Wetlands are areas where water is the primary factor controlling the environment and the associated plant and animal life. Global Wetland systems have witnessed incomparable anthropogenically driven degradation over the past decades. The drastic degradation of wetlands, therefore calls for real-time data and information about the Africa’s wetland systems for accurate, and reliable monitoring and assessment of changes.

The training is organized by Makerere University , Department of Geomatics and Land Management, Uganda and Regional Center for Mapping and Research (RCMRD), and delivered by ESIPPS International Ltd , Uganda under the auspices of the African Union /EU GMES and Africa Programme.
