Badru is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU) of the University of Oxford (UK). Badru holds a PGD in international wildlife conservation
practice from the University of Oxford, MSc. Biology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and BSc. Forestry from Makerere University.
Badru’s research focuses on understanding and finding solutions to human and environmental threats to biodiversity. His specific research interests lie in understanding the interactions between human activity and wildlife in human dominated landscapes, and how this knowledge informs wildlife conservation. Badru is currently conducting the first ever-global experimental investigation of the threat illegal hunting poses to wildlife in tropical forests. Badru’s specific skills, knowledge and experiance include; training, fundraising, GIS and statistical modelling
and biodiversity surveys.
