Emmanuel Akampulira specializes in human-interactions of wildlife management. Specifically on human-wildlife conflicts. He holds a Bsc in Wildlife Management and is currently pursuing his MSc in Tropical Forestry at the University of Bangor.From February 2010 to December 2011 he worked as a coordinator of USAID funded WILD project at the Institute of Tropical Forest Conservation (ITFC) in Bwindi. He coordinated all research activities (Amphibian study in Bwindi and studies on disease transfer between Baboons and humans, rodents and humans) and was also the principle researcher on human-wildlife Conflicts around Bwindi Mgahinga Conservation Area. In 2012 Emmnanuel undertook a consultancy for ITFC on Lessons learned on Human-Wildlife Conflicts in the Greater Virunga Landscape (Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo
