ESIPPS Executive Director amongst medalists at Women’s day celebrations

May 11, 2020

At ESIPPS International Ltd we joined Women’s day celebrations with a special purpose to congratulate our own Executive Director, Dr. Jane Bemigisha who was amongst distinguished women of Uganda to receive medals.

The medals are awarded to personalities who have excelled in their professions and have greatly contributed to the economic development of the country and or livelihoods of the communities they serve. Dr. Bemigisha was one of the 54 civilian medalists awarded the Golden Jubilee Independence Medal. She was awarded the medal on account of her contribution to environmental conservation, planning, and documentation including the use of location-based databases and geo-spatial mapping technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing by satellite imagery and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones.
