On behalf of the National Environment Managment Authority (NEMA), ESIPPS International Ltd is in the intial stages of developing the National State of Environment Report (NSOER) 2014 for Uganda.

NEMA has one of its functions as enhancing access to environment information in support of development. NEMA produces the state of the environment (SOE) report every two years in line with the National Environment Act Cap 153.

The 2014 report, like the 2012 one, also prepared by ESIPPS, will be prepared based on indicators developed as a baseline for continuous update of trends on key environmental issues following progression in the status of selected environmental themes over years in a DPSIR (Drivers, Pressures, State, Impacts and Response) framework.
